Well, not much of a mosaic, just two panels stitched side-by-side and they had a lot more overlap than was necessary. My main goal was to simply get a good image of Orion. I had one attempt more than 10 years ago, taken on a very cold night in Narrowsburg, NY (-5F!) with film. It was, meh.

So, with prospects for a good night, I drove to Cherry Springs, PA and set up for a one-night shoot. Orion doesn’t come up that early in October, so most of the night was imaging other things, and I hope to put together a mosaic of those eventually. But Orion was the main show with two cameras running, one shooting from Betelgeuse to the right, one from Rigel to the left. Each panel was created from 25 subframes, 4 minutes each, so 100 minutes total exposure time.
